An appointment is not necessary, however by booking ahead, it will reduce your wait time in store. When making an appointment, be sure to select My Byte Fitzroy or My Byte South Yarra as your preferred service provider. We look forward to meeting you.
Hardware repairs
Repairs include displays, keyboards, batteries and logic boards. We can repair devices covered under AppleCare+, along with warranty and out of warranty.
Software Fix
We can update your operating system and perform routine software updates, find and remove viruses or free up some much needed storage.
Accidents
One too many? We all love a drink. Unfortunately accidents do happen. Our technicians will take apart your device, giving it a clean in the process to help prevent future damage.
Data recovery
No Backup? No worries. My Byte has you covered with a range of data recovery services, even if your Mac is no longer powering on.

Before leaving your device for service, we require Find My to be turned off. If you're unable to turn off Find My, we might not be able to service your device. This policy is in force to prevent unauthorised persons from servicing your device without your knowledge.

If you're data is important, we recommend to use Time Machine to backup your Mac. Time Machine is really simple to use and backs up your enter Mac so you won't miss anything. It is one of Apple's recommended ways to ensure you precious data such as documents, music and photos are preserved.

Commonly Asked Questions
This is heavily dependent on the time of year, however typically you will get your device back either same day or within a few business days.
In some circumstances we will be unable to proceed with your repair for privacy reasons. This is to prevent unauthorised persons from servicing your device without your knowledge.
In some cases, yes, however it is not recommended because if the condition of your Mac changes whilst outside of our service centre, we may be unable to proceed with your repair. Our technicians will always work on a case by case basis to ensure we meet your personal needs.
